Day 1 – Welcome Dinner

Pickup at Cairns Airport or the Train Station, a tour around the world class holiday destination.

Overnight – Palm Cove in Cairns

Day 2 – Great Barrier Reef Cruise

Travel on the most luxurious Reef Vessel in Australia and discover some of the most spectacular destinations in the outer Great Barrier Reef at 2 exclusive moorings. 5 hours to snorkel and explore the famous national park. Includes a Aussie buffet lunch, glass of wine and canpaes’.

Day 3 – Kuranda Sky Rail to Atherton

A magnificent sky railway journey over the top of the Rainforest to historic Kuranda. Explore Karanda Raintree Markets, see the Barron Falls,  we travel on an Army Duck and visit the Aboriginal Culture Centre. Option to also visit a butterfly sanctuary, Koala Gardens, Bird World,

After that we travel to Atherton with its Rainforest, spectacular water- falls and peaceful lakes. We visit its Heritage listed 500-year-old Curtain Fig.

Day 4 – Parenella Park and Mission Beach

We journey south through the sugarcane and banana farms. We stop at QLD’s number 1 tourist attraction Paronella Park, a castle build beside Mena Creek Falls where we have a picnic lunch. It has tennis courts, bridges and a tunnel. Rap it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants, now a lush rainforest.

This evening we venture back to the coast. Nestled between two World Heritage-listed wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics, Mission Beach is full of unspoilt nature and the birthplace of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and is the closest access point for the reef, less than 40km offshore. A Scenic coastal drive where we might be lucky to spot a Cassowary on the beach. Enjoy the fresh air and amazing surrounds while we have drinks and nibbles.

Day 5 – From Inland to Island

Mungalla Station. Come and meet the Nywaigi Aboriginal people, the Aboriginal traditional owners of the lands around Ingham in North Queensland. Experience our rich culture and history. Learn of the often brutal conflict between Nywaigi Aboriginal people and European settlers that shaped the destiny of North Queensland.

Try your hand at throwing a boomerang and making it come back.

From here we experience another culture while we delve into an Italian indulgence for lunch before we set out sights on Magnetic island, just of the coast of Townsville

On our way to the Magnetic Island Ferry we will tour down the strand and the beautiful waterfront of Townsville.

Day 6 – Island Style

Magnetic Island, our tropical island paradise. Boasting a unique natural environment of palm-fringed beaches, large granite boulders, hoop pines, sandy beaches and fringing coral reefs. See the koalas in the wild and spend time relaxing. An easy to get around island with the hop on / hop off buses.

Explore at your own leisure any of the many attractions,

  • During the summer months (December to February) sea turtles nest on the beaches.
  • 24 kilometres (15 miles) of walking tracks.
  • Follow the 1.2-kilometre (0.75-mile) Hawkings Track for views across the island
  • Relax on one of the 23 beaches on Magnetic Island
  • The 1.5-hour Forts Walk includes World War II forts, incredible views and sometimes even a koala or two. Along the way, you may find rock art or shell middens – physical reminders of the Wulgurukaba people, who have lived on the island and mainland for thousands of years.

Day 7 – Magnetic Island to the Whitsundays

After we catch the ferry back to the mainland where we will venture down the coast stopping over in Bowen where we will have a seafood lunch on one of her beautiful beaches, then explore the town and point out locations where parts of the famous movie ‘Australia’ was filmed. Before we leave Bowen we will take in the scenery at the 360° lookout over looking Gloucester Islands, The coral Sea and the beautiful inland region.

Airlie Beach is a very picturesque town with the Conway National Park as its backdrop, the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands for its spectacular views. A tour around town showing the highlights, stopping at a couple of lookouts for great photos before we arrive at your accommodation.

Day 8 – Island Cruise

Your choice to todays activities

Option 1:

A fast boat to Whitehaven Beach, number 1 beach in the world which boasts brilliant white silica sand that is among the purest in the world.  A bush walk to a viewing platform that overlooks Hill Inlet, the 3rd most photographed place in Australia.  Snorkel the fringe reefs of the Whitsunday Islands, you may be lucky and snorkel with a turtle or see the majestic humpback whale during the migration season.

Option 2:

A boat trip through the Whitsunday islands to Hamilton Island, jump on a hop on hop off bus to explore the island, after lunch, you are taken across to the famous Whitehaven Beach #1 beach in the world.

Day 9 – Whitsunday options to explore

A day to explore the beautiful coastal town, Airlie Beach.

Take a stroll along the 4km coastal bicentennial boardwalk, relax in the freshwater lagoon or fill your day with one of the following options we can book for you

Day 10 – Cedar Creek Water Falls and Hydeaway Bay Tour

Depart from Airlie Beach with a tour guide and informative commentary in an air-conditioned bus

Visit Cedar Creek Falls. Which flows in the wet season and is a beautiful waterhole in the dry season. Get to know the history surrounding the area of the oldest living culture in the world and enjoy a relaxing dip in the water

Learn about the oldest living culture in the world, the Australian Aboriginal. Where did they come from, how and when they got here, what they believed in, their bush tucker and medicine. Why they didn’t change anything in 70 thousand years and how they protected the future.

Relax with a coffee at the Whitsunday Gold Coffee plantation, one of Australia’s largest coffee plantation’s

and locally hidden locations up at Hydeaway bay and Dingo Beach with beautiful beaches and island views.

Day 11 – Homeward Bound

Time to absorb the last few hours of the tropical north before you set off home.

To fill the morning why not a game of golf. Perfect your skills on the putting greens and of course, enjoy a round on our par 3, 18 hole course for a challenging, healthy fun for a couple of hours. (golf is at an additional cost).
