You are not wasting a lot of time driving this gives you more time for tours and Islands, enjoying yourselves. We use small buses which makes a good personalized tour. Meals are with a lot of fresh local produce.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Let the journey begin with Australia’s largest Rainforest

We will pickup at Mackay airport or train station. We head up the Pioneer Valley to Eungella passing the small sugar cane towns, stopping at the Pinnacle Pub for their famous homemade pie, gravy and chips, an Australian icon.  Leaving there we head up the Great Dividing Range to Eungella Chalet, for spectacular scenery.  That afternoon we go to Broken River Mountain Resort nestled in Australia largest Rain Forrest. There are rainforest walks beside the resort, which has the best viewing of Platypus in the World.  After Dinner we go spot lighting nocturnal animals in the rainforest.

Day 2 – Wildlife Experience

Crocodile & Wildlife Safari Tour on the Proserpine river, the most densely populated river system on the east coast of Australia of the salt water crocodile. Enjoy a tour of the wetlands and the tropical wildlife with an Australian Bush Billie Tea with lunch and damper.

Airlie Beach is a very picturesque town with the Conway National Park as its backdrop, the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands for its spectacular views. A tour around town showing the highlights, stopping at a couple of lookouts for great photos.

Day 3 – Hydeaway Bay Tour and Waterfalls

A tour of our regions highlights on land. Cedar Creek Falls which flow in the wet season and a beautiful waterhole in the dry season, commentary of the 70,000 year old culture of the Australian aboriginal, Whitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation and lunch at Hydeaway Bay, a paradise on the mainland. Beautiful views of the coral sea and islands while having lunch.

Day 4 – Hamilton island

Travel through the beautiful Whitsunday Islands to the world renown Hamilton Island.

Explore the island at your leisure.  From walking trails to secluded coves, golf on Dent Island or a cocktail at the swim up bar you’ll never find yourself short of things to do. With Hop on, hop off buses you will no problems getting around.

Day 5 – Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island

Enjoy the morning soaking up the sun on Whitehaven beach, a short boat ride from Hamilton Island. Whitehaven Beach is protected by the Whitsunday Islands National Park, and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. It’s been voted the world’s top eco-friendly beach, and Queensland’s cleanest beach.

Whitsunday Island’s famous beach stretches for seven kilometres and is washed by swirls of turquoise, blue and green water. The sand is 98 per cent pure white silica, which gives it a brilliant, near luminescent colour.

Relax for the afternoon in one of the many islands resort pools.

Enjoy a beautiful breakfast with the koalas before flying out of Hamilton Islands airport.
